Feeder Machine
The word “feeder” means a device that provides feeding. Therefore, a machine used for feeding crushers like jaw crushers, hydrocone crushers, other crushers, mixers or press machines is called a feeder machine. The crusher feeder is one of the sand and gravel mining equipment used for the rapid and direct transfer of heavy materials, stones, or other substances into the crusher. This machine is used to enhance efficiency and improve the material processing operations.
Different types of crusher feeders can be manufactured in various sizes and capacities with diverse specifications to meet the particular needs of each project and specific types of crushers. These machines typically include a material conveyance system, speed regulator, and control parts to manage the flow of materials into the crusher. Using the crusher feeder in the crushing process helps improve efficiency, saves time, and increases accuracy in managing input materials. Types of feeder machines include shaker feeders, grizzly crusher feeders, vibrating crusher feeders, and chain crusher feeders.
Industrial feeder machines can be designed and manufactured in various dimensions such as outlet openings of 80 cm, 100 cm, and 120 cm or other sizes. The outlet of this machine can be adjusted based on requirements and used according to the desired output volume. Additionally, the internal base plate of this device can be replaced if problems arise and based on need, it can be swapped with a new plate. The storage type of this industrial feeder is designed to have a capacity matching its requirements and be suitable in slope for transferring stored materials. If needed, the feeder's silo can be designed and constructed as one piece or two pieces. Typically, feeding devices or feeders are positioned horizontally, and although they have a slight incline, they are installed in such a way that materials move horizontally inside the industrial feeder. This horizontal movement means that aggregates and other mineral materials move upwards and forwards.
Feeder Machine Price
The price of a feeder machine can vary greatly and depends on various factors related to the type, size, and technical features of the machine. Factors such as feeding capacity (higher capacity devices cost more), construction material (steel sheet, stainless steel, or other materials), technology and advanced features (smart features like automatic control, multiple settings, or advanced monitoring systems), and dimensions can affect the crusher feeder price.

Functioning of Feeder Machines
The function of the feeder is to deliver raw and initial materials to other devices and equipment. In other words, the feeder feeds devices to perform production operations. One type of this equipment is the crusher feeder, which acts as a feed screen for crushers. The crusher feeder is used to separate rocks and provide raw materials in mineral processing lines and also to sort minerals. Usually, this machine is installed at the beginning of each crushing line and after the silo is placed to prevent dust from entering the crusher, reducing problems and damages in the crusher.
Application of Feeder Machines
The application of this device at the start and throughout the production process is very important. Many times, if the feeder is not present, the speed of operations decreases, and the work will proceed slowly or, in some cases, not at all, and production operations cannot be carried out. When production capacity in a factory exceeds 10 tons per hour, human resources in that factory can no longer provide the necessary input load for producing this amount to the devices. In this situation, there are two possible solutions. The first is continuous use of a loader machine, which imposes very high costs on the factory, and the second is using a feeder machine as a feeder for other devices, which incurs very low costs.

The feeder machine is a piece of mechanical equipment used to transfer and feed materials to other machines like crushers, mills, or material processing machines. The application of the feeder machine relates to optimal supply and transfer of materials for various industrial processes. One feature of the feeder is its ability to transfer loads and materials evenly. The feeder machine withstands high loads and does not stop or break under heavy stress. The feeder has many advantages, among which are quick discharge capabilities.
Some applications of feeders in various industries include:
1. Mining and extraction industries: To transfer and feed raw materials and rocks to crushers or mining processing machines.
2. Construction industries: In production lines for concrete, asphalt, and construction materials to transfer materials to the required machines.
Using feeders in these industries helps enhance efficiency and automation of processes while reducing costs and time needed for transferring materials. This equipment is also used in other industries such as chemical, food, and drilling industries.
Types of Feeder Machines
Feeder machines come in various types classified based on the input material type, feeding method, and different applications used in various industries. Some types of feeder machines include:
1. Vibrating Feeders:
Vibrating feeders are widely used in mining equipment and mineral processing plants, chemical industries, mineral industries, and others. These machines are equipped with different capacity silos for feeding and directing raw materials into the crusher. Optimal and even material transfer, withstanding heavy loads and stress, and out-of-center motion are features of this device. These feeders use vibrations to directly transfer materials to other equipment, where vibrations cause material compaction and movement.
2. Grizzly Feeders:
Grizzly feeders are primarily designed for use before primary crushers to continuously feed input materials and rocks appropriately to the crusher. All grizzly feeder models have a flat impact-resistant surface followed by an inclined grizzly bar section. These feeders are used for sorting materials by specific size. The grizzly network design helps absorb material impact. One of the most used types is the dual-shaft grizzly feeder.

3. Shaker Feeders:
The mechanism of this type of feeder is based on the crankshaft and uses back-and-forth motion to move materials to the crusher's entrance instead of using a vibrator. Therefore, shaker feeders have the capability of appropriately feeding wet and sticky materials, especially during rainy seasons, to the subsequent equipment.
4. Rotary Feeders:
Rotary feeders use rotational movement to transfer materials in a circular manner to other machines.
Each type of feeder machine is used based on the specific needs of production lines and different applications.

Advantages and Features of Feeder Machines
Using feeder machines has many advantages. This industrial device, because it evenly feeds the production line, consumes less electricity compared to loader machines. Increased loader electricity consumption is due to shocks that affect devices and the electrical system, resulting from excessive overload caused by this machine. Typically, feeder devices are used between jaw crushers and hammer crushers. This is because jaw crushers do not have a uniform output mechanism, and this output can damage subsequent crushers, often hammer crushers, which can "choke" when unexpected loads enter and sustain serious damage. The capacity of jaw crushers also exceeds that of hammer crushers, which is why using feeder devices is a smart choice.
